EASL welcomes journalists to Barcelona, Spain.
The International Liver Congress™ 2016 (ILC 2016) is open and free of charge to official representatives of print, broadcast and electronic media.
Journalists interested in attending must contact the ILC Press Office and should send a copy of their press card and/or the commissioning letter as part of their application.
Freelance journalists must present a commissioning letter on headed paper from a recognised news organisation or publication, outlining their reason for attendance.
You may be asked to provide further evidence of your credentials once your initial registration application is made. If this is the case, a member of the ILC Press Office will contact you to discuss what evidence is required.
Once your credentials have been approved by the ILC Press Office, you will receive an email containing log-in details to access the online registration platform. This will enable you to complete your registration, book accommodation and sign up to early morning workshops. The ILC Press Office will provide detailed instructions once your credentials have been approved. Accredited journalists must collect their press badge on-site from the registration desk. The badge will permit admission to the press centre.
Registration for ILC 2016 will only be given once your accreditation has been approved by the ILC Press Office and online registration completed.
Journalists must register directly; applications for media registration made via pharmaceutical, marketing or public relations companies will not be considered.
Information regarding media registrations to attend The International Liver Congress™ 2016 belongs to EASL. EASL does not share media lists externally.
If you have not registered online prior to arrival in Barcelona, you will need to register on-site at The International Liver Congress™ 2016 registration desk. Proof of media accreditation will be required together with a valid passport or ID-card. Media registration in advance is strongly recommended. This enables the ILC Press Office to deal with any queries or issues ahead of the congress. Only registered media representatives will be permitted to work in the media areas.
If additional proof of media credentials is requested, the ILC Press Office will advise on what additional evidence should be submitted. Please note that business cards are NOT acceptable as a form of media credential.
The official language of The International Liver Congress™ 2016 is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
